Pokémon Returns From Battle, Pikachu Is A Detective Now!

Pikach-u have no idea how exciting this is!
Hold on, did we wake up and find ourselves back in the 90s? Because honestly, there's so much Pokemon nostalgia floating around the internet that we might cry.
Yesterday, Nintendo released a trailer for a brand new game, called Great Detective Pikachu: The Birth of a New Duo and it's literally too much.

The trailer is in Japanese so we're not reaaaally sure what's happening, but by the looks of things you get to team up with Pikachu - WHO CAN NOW TALK - and solve mysteries. Puberty also seems to have hit Pikachu hard, as his voice sounds like he's a 40 year old man and he's mad keen about coffee. He's apparently snatched Benedict Cumberbatch's hat too, so... there's that. (Ash, control your friend!)

That's not the only PokeBall that's been thrown at us this week. There's also a #Pokemon20 anniversary commercial that will air during the Superbowl and it'll make every single millennial gamer weep with tiny PokeTears.
Oh, and if you haven't already heard, Nintendo are planning to release Pokemon Red and Blue for the 20th anniversary of the original game on February 27. Ugh, I can't wait to destroy the Elite Four all over again. THANK YOU NINTENDO!
