OMG!

Good news, Rick and Morty fans! It has been confirmed that the show will be returning for 70 brand new episodes.

The news was announced by the co-creator and executive producer Justin Roiland. In a tweet he wrote: "More Rick and Morty coming. Looking forward to all the tweets asking where it is! #theydrawingit"

It's about goddamn time.

Ricky and Morty has had three seasons so far on Adult Swim. The first season premiered back in December 2013 and the third season concluded in October 2017. Since then news about a fourth season has been a closely guarded secret.

As Polygon reports, the show typically has 10 episodes per season, so 70 episodes should work out to be seven new seasons. It also takes the combined number of episodes across all seasons to over 100, meaning the series can be syndicated (and get that $$$). No release date has been announced yet.

Dan Harmon, the co-creator of Rick & Morty, also uploaded a video to Instagram to announce the news, featuring a video of himself and Justin in the shower together. Watch it in all its glory below.

Nothing this big has ever been seen in my shower
