The campaign to save 'Shadowhunters' marches on as fans urge Netflix to pick up the series.

Fans of Freeform's Shadowhunters are hard at work trying to save the recently cancelled supernatural series.

Way back at the start of June, Freeform announced that it would not be renewing the series after the current season wrapped. Since then, fans have been dedicated in their efforts to secure another run for the show.

Most recently, 'Save Shadowhunters' billboards have started showing up in New York City and Seoul, South Korea. The ads on the Seoul subway are positioned at the train stop closest to a nearby Netflix office and will reportedly run for a month.

The dedication is REAL.

The Save Shadowhunters effort is emboldened its use of both real world and online campaigning. "Hell hath no fury like a fandom scorned," wrote one Twitter user.

Twitter's 'SaveShadowhunters' tag is full of fans closely following the ongoing situation and voicing their own opinions on how the parties involved should move forward.

Netflix are playing it close to the vest and have not clearly indicated whether it could play a role in saving the show down the line. The streaming platform are, at present, maintaining that no negotiations to save Shadowhunters are taking place, despite one of the shows producers, Martin Moszkowicz, telling Deadline that talks are "ongoing".

Of course, there is precedent for a Netflix hail Mary. The streaming platform took over production on a third season of the Canadian sci fi drama Travelers when the series' home network effectively cancelled it.

3b of Shadowhunters is set to air in Spring 2019 with 12 episodes, including a 2-part finale.
