The Shrek films are leaving Netflix in April

The Shrek films are leaving Netflix in April and moving over to Disney+ in a move that has upset a lot of fans.
The streaming service announced that all four of the iconic animations would be taken down on 11th April, as the series migrates over to new platform, Disney+.
In a Facebook post (trying to make a joke out of what we can only describe as the worst case scenario ever), Netflix wrote:
'Somebody once told me that the Shrek film series is leaving on April 11th. So for all you sharp tools in the shed, it's time to return to the swamp for once last adventure.'
Fans are clearly also shaken by the loss of our big, green friend as the post has since received over 61,000 comments of dismay - and have taken to social media to share their opinions...
We are in the middle of a pandemic and Netflix have decided to take off all the shrek films? That big green ogre is an essential key to happiness in many people’s lives. This is a despicable decision. And I for one, am not happy, NOT HAPPY AT ALL.— Beth🌛 (@bltwistxo) March 16, 2020

Probably gonna have to work from home for the foreseeable and Netflix deem it necessary to remove Shrek??? Cannot think of a single reason why this would be necessary and honestly 2020 is ruined pic.twitter.com/ODm2iOgkGE— Loren 🐆 (@lchmx) March 16, 2020
If you all liked Shrek that much you’d have the DVD so you don’t have to rely on Netflix— 𝔸𝕞𝕪✨ (@amyopeelyo) March 17, 2020
Do the right thing, Netflix, don't make this situation even harder.
Yours sincerely, everyone.
