A familiar face from 'The Vampire Diaries' will be on CW's 'Legacies' this Autumn.

Fans of The Vampire Diaries can look forward to at least one more familiar face on CW Legacies this Fall. Steven R. McQueen will reprise his role as Jeremy Gilbert in the new show which features characters from both The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.

According to exclusive reporting by TVLine, McQueen will be back as Jeremy, who fans met all the way back in 2009. He will make a cameo in the third episode of Legacies, entitled We're Being Punked, Pedro.

McQueen was a main character on The Vampire Diaries for 6 seasons and returned in the series finale. He and Alaric were depicted as running the Salvatore school at the end of the show's 8 season run.

Jeremy has plenty of experience with the supernatural. After all, he was surrounded by the vampires, werewolves, and witches living in Mystic Falls. He even died more than once and became a hunter in season 4 of The Vampire Diaries. We think Jeremy will be able to hold his own when it comes to the students of the Salvatore School For The Young and Gifted.

Here is everything you need to know about the The Vampire Diaries and The Originals spin-off Legacies.

Legacies follows Hope Mikaelson, the daughter of Hayley Marshall and Klaus Mikaelson, an original vampire. Hope is thrice gifted as a witch, vampire, and werewolf. She and her classmates (including Alaric's twins) will encounter forces and battles that will test their powers, morals, and friendships.

Legacies premieres Thursday October 25 on the CW. Vampire Diaries and The Originals producer Julie Plec returns for the third series in the TVD adjacent-universe.

We know you're looking forward to seeing Jeremy again. Which other characters from The Vampire Diaries would you like to see on Legacies?
