No love for '13 Reasons Why' at the Teen Choice Awards for a second year in a row.

The Teen Choice Award 2018 nominations were announced yesterday (June 14) and many our faves received nominations. Riverdale's Cole Sprouse and KJ Apa will be battling it out against each other for the Choice Drama TV Actor award, the Black Panther cast took half the nominations in the Best Movie actress for Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright & Lupita Nyong'o and Panic! At The Disco picked up a couple of nods in the music categories too.

However, there was one glaring omission in the TV categories.

13 Reasons Why, Netflix's controversial teen drama, received zero nominations. What's interesting is that the nominations were voted for by the public, meaning the show didn't receive enough votes from the audience (i.e. teenagers) that the show is trying to target.

The nominations closed on May 21st, just three days after the second season of 13 Reasons Why dropped on Netflix. So could it just be that everyone was too busy binge-watching the show to vote or is the show just not as popular as we've been lead to believe? What_is_the_truth.gif

Not even a nomination for Alex and Zach in the best ship category? Smh.

The lack of nominations repeats what happened last year when the show received no nominations, although members of the cast did attend the ceremony.

Voting is already open. You can vote up to 10 times per day (!!!) and the voting will close on June 19th. Here over to the Teen Choice Awards website to cast your votes.

So, why do you think 13 Reasons Why didn't receive any nominations for the second year in a row?
