Camila Mendes And Jessica Barden Are In A New Film And It Looks Wild

Ever felt uncomfortable with the way Veronica always calls her father 'daddy' on Riverdale? Well, look away now as it looks like Camila Mendes is getting a lot more daddy action in her latest movie, The New Romantic.
The film stars Jessica Barden, aka Alyssa from The End of the F***ing World, and Camila, who plays Veronica Lodge on Riverdale, and follows Blake (Barden) who is fed up with the behaviour of guys her own age. She writes a sex column in her college newspaper but the editor is threatening to axe it due to it's "boring content". Savage.
That's when her friend, who's a longtime sugar baby - played by Mendes, encourages Blake to get a sugar daddy, and so she begins exchanging her time with an older man for gifts. Is this the life for her? Judging from the trailer, it really doesn't seem like it.
Hot damn.
The film also stars Riverdale's no.1 pussycat (sorry Josie) Hayley Law and easy-on-the-eyes Victorious actor Avan Jogia. Given the movie won the Special Grand Jury Award at SXSW this year and it features some of our favourite actors right now, we reckon it looks pretty promising. I mean, who doesn't like young adult rom-coms with a side of sugar daddy - ain't that right, Camila?
The film is released on November 13th.
