Netflix's The Politician shaded Donald Trump in the opening credits and you totally missed it

The title sequence to Netflix's The Politician includes a visual gag that fans think makes reference to Donald Trump.
Netflix's The Politician is the new dark comedy from the mind of Ryan Murphy. Ben Platt plays Payton Hobart, a high school politician with aspirations of one day becoming the President of the United States. For all the show's clever lines and subtle jabs, the best reference to IRL politics might actually be hidden in the show's title sequence.
The show's opening credits are a glossy homage to the main character's political aspirations. Set to Sufjan Stevens' 'Chicago', we witness the "making" of Payton. From his academic career at St. Sebastian to his Harvard dreams, it all comes together to reveal the carefully crafted persona of Payton Hobart.
It's not all medals and Ivy league aspirations though. Twitter user @calroscow pointed out that there's a pretty sick Donald Trump burn hidden in plain sight in the opening credits.
Can we please just appreciate the brilliantly massive insult right there in the opening titles of the new Netflix series ‘The Politician’? pic.twitter.com/eXWIokJ1vi— CAL ROSCOW (@calroscow) September 29, 2019
In a small nook, there are five books, four of them are green and bear the names of former US Presidents. Ronald Reagan gets a shout out, as do Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama. One of these things is not like the other, though. The final book in the line-up is a slender white volume titled "Idiot's Guide To Clowning."
Truly a burn for the ages.
People reacted to the jab on social media, calling it the "best dig" and the "ultimate drag".
Just noticed that the opening credits feature side-by-side books on Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and then an Idiots Guide to Clowning. If this isn’t the best dig at Donald Trump’s presidency in all of media, I don’t know what is. #ThePolitician— Jay Thomas (@ThisJayThomas) September 29, 2019
that part of the intro to the politician where it's the books with all of the presidents and then the latest one is "idiots guide to clowning." that is the ultimate drag and j am here for it.— Laynie (@layniebrittain_) September 28, 2019
Subtle, but effective. We have no choice but to stan.
