The 2018 sci-fi movie already has it's first meme months before release.
A new poster and trailer were unveiled this week for Steven Speilberg's upcoming sci-fi epic Ready Player One, the long-awaited adaptation of the pop culture savvy novel by Ernest Cline.
But, while the movie certainly looks impressive, a lot of people are already mocking the new poster which appears to show actor Tye Sheridan, who plays the lead role of Wade Watts, with a, um, really long leg!
A better reality awaits. Tune in tomorrow at 9:45a PT for a special live stream event with @erniecline. #ReadyPlayerOne pic.twitter.com/X7M4IahKAC

Pretty weird right?
Now, to be fair, Ready Player One is a fantasy story and this ridiculous leg may well prove to be part of the plot.
However, the internet is still having a lot of fun pointing out how silly it looks. Because it really does.
Here are just a few of our fave reactions so far:

after extensive hours of research and examination, this scientific diagram i've created of the #ReadyPlayerOne poster proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that boy's legs are just plain wrong pic.twitter.com/c9f9iP2WPI
