Tom Holland improvised two of the most emotional moments in Infinity War and Endgame and I am CRYING!!

Tom Holland is about to bring back Peter Parker for another iconic turn in Spider-Man: Far From Home but there's still one more very important thing about Avengers: Endgame that we need to discuss... his performance in Tony Stark's death scene.

We all know that Tom Holland is rarely given scripts when it comes to Marvel movies - mainly because he's the franchise's biggest spoiler machine (with strong competition from Mark Ruffalo, of course). But to be honest, that doesn't seem to be an issue because it turns out that his best work comes when there's no script at all.

Will there be another Avengers after Endgame? Everything you need to know about Avengers 5

In case you didn't know, it was revealed by director Joe Russo that Tom actually improvised the devastating "I don't want to go" line from Infinity War just before Peter Parker was dusted after Thanos' snap. And it's now been revealed that he improvised his lines in the scene where Tony dies at the end of Avengers: Endgame too.

Speaking to Pinkvilla, Tom revealed that there was not really any script for Tony Stark's final moments. He and his co-stars were basically brought on set and given a vague idea as to what would be happening and how they wanted everyone to react - and the result was absolutely heartbreaking.

“It was interesting because when we shot that scene with Robert there was no real script, at all," he said when asked about what it was like to shoot the pivotal scene. "It was just Kevin Feige, the two Russo Brothers, myself, Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, and Don Cheadle. They kind of brought us to set, they kind of told us what was going to happen, or what they wanted to happen, and then we sort of just improvised if I can remember correctly."

"So it was a really, really interesting way to shoot such a kind of pivotal scene of the movie, but it was a really emotional day and I mean looking back on it now it was maybe the craziest day I’ve ever had on set, you know? But it was really amazing and turned out to be a fantastic scene.”

So you're telling me, for the second time in a row, Peter Parker's best and most emotional scene in an Avengers film has been... improvised by Tom Holland?! I don't know a better person. He has the range.

If you can't remember the scene, or have repressed the traumatic event from your mind, here's a reminder of what happened: as Tony is dying after dusting Thanos with his own snap, Rhodey says a silent goodbye before a tearful Peter Parker bends down and keeps repeating "we won, we did it, Sir. You did it!" to "Mr Stark". He then apologises and breaks down as Pepper approaches to comfort him.

Of course, with Tom revealing that, does that also mean that Gwyneth Paltrow's "we're gonna be ok, you can rest now" lines as Pepper were also improvised?! AND DON CHEADLE?! I'm literally gonna need 3-5 working days to get over this.

I AM A MESS!
