Watch The Trailer For 'Luke Cage' Season Two

It's all kicking off again in Harlem...

By the time Luke Cage drops on Netflix, it will have been almost two years since the first season debuted. Fans don’t have much longer to wait though, as the second season will be out on June 22. To tide them over until then, Netflix have dropped the second trailer.

The trailer goes into more detail about who Luke Cage will face this season – his challenger is Bushmaster, a super strong, bulletproof man whose powers are very much the same as Luke’s. However, Bushmaster, played by Mustafa Shakir, is a crime boss using his powers for evil. Presumably, his powers come from the same experiments that gave Luke his.
But Luke isn’t just battling Bushmaster - he’s fighting within himself as he has to reach new levels of strength to defeat his enemies. In the trailer, Claire Temple voices her concerns, but Luke shrugs them off, saying “sometimes brutality gets shit done”.

Returning to season two are Alfre Woodard, Simone Missick, and Rosario Dawson among others. As Misty Knight, Missick now has a cool robot arm since she lost hers in The Defenders, and she says that Luke Cage is her sidekick (which he refutes, but we’ll see how that pans out).
