Could Joe's neighbour be his mother? Fans think the woman behind the fence in the last episode could be Joe's estranged mum and, perhaps, his season 3 obsession.
Who will Joe's next victim be in You season 3? Viewers think they already know. Netflix's You season 2 gave fans the chills and thrills they've come to expect from Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) and his murderous antics. Despite the new season only just arriving on 26 December, fans of the show think they've cracked the mystery of who Joe's season 3 victim will be.

Joe's season 2 romantic interest, Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) came with her own baggage in the form of her needy twin brother, Forty (James Scully). However, once it became clear that Joe and Love were more alike than either of them had previously thought, Joe's view of her changes.
Now, the pair are out in the suburbs and expecting a baby. But it's the season's parting shot that already has fans anxious for what's to come in season 3.
In the last moments of the season, Joe becomes entranced by a mystery woman whose face we never see. The woman is wearing a large hat and reading a book as she lays out in the sun.
Fans think Joe's mother is his neighbour and will be his season 3 obsession.
You has only filmed 2 seasons, but the show's creators have already proven their love of a good twist. Candace's return? Iconic. Love Quinn turning out to be a killer? Inspired. Now, fans are guessing that Joe's season 3 obsession won't be a romantic one like in the first 2 seasons.
Throughout season 2, we see flashbacks of Joe's unstable childhood with his mother. She has violent boyfriends and leads a truly chaotic lifestyle that results in Joe being placed into the social care system. Joe has not grown up with her and fans think they may reconnect in season 3.

Is Joe's mother his neighbour? How likely is it?
Well, when Joe sees his neighbour through the fence he says he can't wait to "meet" her. This may be a bit of misdirection, however, it's a pretty strange thing to say about someone you already know.
However, it would be an incredible twist if Joe's mum moved to the suburbs, married a rich guy, and started a new family. it's also true that we don't know for sure whether Joe's mother is dead or alive.
Some fans have even pointed to details about the woman which they say "proves" she's an older lady but we probably won't know for sure until season 3 drops sometime in 2020.
