It's no secret that Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is the blockbuster hit of summer 2018. The sequel may have come out 10 years after it's predecessor but Mamma Mia! hype is still as big as ever. People cannot get enough of legendary stars doing covers of ABBA classics and crazy love triangles in the fictional Greek island of Kalokairi and quite frankly who can blame them. Plus Mamma Mia! 2 features Cher so that makes it iconic.

However, it is one Mamma Mia! 2 actress in particular who is on everyone's lips right now. Lily James (Downton Abbey, Baby Driver, Cinderella) plays Young Donna herself and fans are obsessed with her. For context Donna was played by the one and only Meryl Streep in the original Mamma Mia! and Mamma Mia! 2 is part prequel, part sequel and much of the film is about Donna meeting Sophie's three possible fathers.

If you're still confused, you've had a decade to watch the first film so catch up. Anyway filling Meryl's shoes is a task for any actress but Lily does it with charm and ease. We've loved her ever since she first hit our screens so we couldn't be happier to see her blossom before our very eyes.

Naturally, the internet has been tweeting about how great she is ever since Mamma Mia! 2 hit cinemas last week. Here are just a few of the reactions so far.

Some love Lily more than words can express.

She is THAT bitch.

Others can't get over one scene in particular.

A star is born.

A couple of viewers wanted to point out how relatable the movie is.

We agree.

A few fans couldn't get past Lily's fashion.

Then there's her hair.

Give her those L'Oréal campaign coins.

Tbh Lily James is just stunning in general.

Our hearts.

Ultimately people love Lily so much that even those who haven't watched the film yet are obsessed with her.

An icon in the making.
