The 'Riverdale' star has been candid with fans about her experience and how she still feels "vulnerable".

Riverdale's Camila Mendes has used her fairly new platform to speak candidly about body positivity and stick up for herself and her castmates when they've been the subjects of cruel or body-shaming comments. It wasn't too long ago that Camila revealed that she had struggled with an an eating disorder.

Now, in a new interview with Nylon Magazine, Camila Mendes opened up about how she's still in "that vulnerable state" when it comes to her own experiences with an eating disorder.

"I only recently started dealing with my own eating disorder. So, as I was dealing with it, it felt like it was a good opportunity to talk about that, because I’m still in that vulnerable state too," said the 24-year-old actress.

"It’s not like, ‘Oh, I am so past that phase of my life. I’m so perfect and happy now.’ I’m still struggling and I’m still dealing with all of those things. I might always still struggle.”

Camila's statement is so relatable for many others in a similar situation who may find that recovery and self-acceptance is an ongoing process.

Last year, Camila pledged her support for ED recovery/resource foundation Project Heal and expressed a desire "to help break the stigma associated with eating disorders.”

In recent months, she has tackled tough topics by opening up about her body insecurities, revealing her previous "obsession" with being thin, and getting real about how her sister went through the same struggles.
