'Riverdale' and 'Sabrina' are about to have the most legendary crossover

If you're anything us, you been wishing and waiting for a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Riverdale crossover ever since you heard that Greendale's resident witch was getting her own show.
A live action crossover might take some time and some major storyboarding by show runner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. However, fans of Archie Comics will get to see Sabrina do her thing in Riverdale soon enough---at least in comic form.
Archie #700, out this week, will see Sabrina head to Riverdale. According to writer Nick Spencer, our favourite witch may stir things up for Archie, Betty, Veronica, and the gang.
"She’s going to shake Riverdale up in a major way," Nick Spencer explained to MTV. "When a character as classic and iconic as Sabrina comes to town, you know it has to have a big impact."
This sounds...witchy and we cannot wait.
Just try and stop us from getting our hands on this issue, illustrated by Marguerite Sauvage. We'll definitely need some Sabrina X Riverdale crossover action to tide us over until Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Christmas special.
As for seeing our CW/Netflix faves crossing paths on screen, that remains to be seen. We doubt Riverdale is going supernatural any time soon and the gang would need a pretty good excuse to cross over into neighbouring Greendale for a run-in with the witch across Sweetwater River.
That being said, never underestimate Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and his ability to throw together an episode that will give fans precisely the crossover event they've been waiting for.
If you've been eager for a crossover this whole time (like us), you'll know that RAS considered introducing Sabrina as a villain on Riverdale before she was officially slated to get her own show.
“There was even a time when we talked about the season 1 cliffhanger being the arrival of Sabrina," Aguirre-Sacasa told EW a while back.
Now, wouldn't that have been something?
