Jughead's mom and sister, Gladys and Jellybean Jones, make their first appearance in the trailer for Riverdale season 3, episode 8 'Outbreak,' while Veronica and Toni both suffer seizures.
The trailer for Riverdale season 3 episode 8 has dropped and things aren't looking ~great~ for most of your favourite characters. We've got people getting attacked, people having seizures all over the damn shop and of course, Betty is still stuck in the Sisters of Quiet Mercy. Please send help - preferably from the Hot Dads of Riverdale™!
The action-packed episode, titled 'Outbreak', is set to air on December 12th, and will be last episode of the year. The show will then return on January 16th with a brand new episode called 'No Exit'.
But before we get too ahead of ourselves, we've got a trailer to watch featuring the long-awaited arrival of Jughead's mum Gladys (Gina Gershon) and sister Jellybean (Trinity Rose Likins) and a very very suspicious mass seizure that happens at Riverdale High.

WE FINALLY HAVE A JELLYBEAN!
Jughead and Archie finally make it all the way to Toledo and are greeted by Jug's much talked about but never before seen little sister Jellybean (played by newcomer Trinity Likins), who I would absolutely be willing to die for already. Look at her! LOOK AT HERRR!
Oh no, there's a mass seizure at the school.
Uhhh, what? Toni, Veronica and the entire Rivervixens squad are on the floor, seizing in the middle of the corridor... It's not yet known what's causing the seizures in town but considering they've only ever happened to the girls while they're in school (with the exception of Betty, of course), could Evelyn Evernever really be the one behind it?
Betty takes Sister Woodhouse in a chokehold with a sharpened pencil...
Betty - Ms Cooper, if ya nasty - has finally sNAPPEDT!
And then ties her up!
It doesn't look like she's acting alone either... did Ethel finally come around to end the sisters once and for all, or did Betty find a new friend? We love a team up!

This episode ain't called 'Outbreak' for nothing, huh? Also, what are they infected with? There a virus that's going round? Is that's what's causing the seizures? Is it a Fizzle Rocks thing? Is there something in the water? What is happeningggggg?
Penny Peabody will find you, and she will attempt to kill you.
It looks like Penny, who is part of Hiram's Suicide Skwad™, has hauled her ass over to Toledo to snatch Archie from the Serpent compound he's currently staying in. Judging by what's in the background, Penny appears to attack Archie on the grounds of the scrapyard that Gladys Jones owns? (works at?), which now begs the question...
Is Gladys working with Penny on the orders of Hiram, or is she threatening her in this promo picture for the next episode?
Clearly, these two scenes are somewhat connected, but is Gladys brandishing that knife at Archie in a bid to make him talk, or is she warning Penny off? Either way, I am very scared and also a maybe little bit in love with her... maybe... we'll see. Depends what side she's on.

I thought we were meant to be seeing the students do more actual school work this year?! Everyone is going to have to retake their junior year, aren't they? They're literally gonna be 30 by the time they graduate this god damn high school.
