All the tea on 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 5'.

There are just three things that are certain in life – death, taxes and another season of RuPaul's Drag Race. RuPaul just won't rest and between the regular series, All Stars and the new RuPaul's Drag Race UK, we're never going to have to time to actually leave our houses.

Next up is the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars and we're SO ready to see some of our favourite queens return to the workroom. All Stars 4 saw two queens (Trinity The Tuck and Monét X Change) share the crown for the first time in Drag Race herstory. And, after all the twists and turns of the last series, we can't even begin to guess what stunt Ru will pull next. So, here's all the juicy details, release date information and rumoured Queens coming to All Stars 5.

When will RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 5 start on Showtime?

UPDATE: RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 5 kicks off on 5 June at 8pm – but it won't be on VH1. RuPaul announced that the show will be switching to Showtime instead.

Well, VH1 hasn't actually announced that they've renewed the Drag Race spin-off, let alone confirmed an All Stars start date. According to DeadlineAll Stars 4 wasn't renewed until August last year, a whole five months after the Season 3 finale. FYI, the Season 4 finale aired on February 15 2019…

However, on an episode of What’s the Tee with Michelle Visage, RuPaul revealed that Drag Race Season 12 and All Stars will be filmed back-to-back.

Ru let slip some All Stars 5 tea whilst chatting with Michelle about his packed schedule. He said: "We’re doing All Stars and then we’re doing season whatever," and Michelle then asked: "Are we allowed to say we’re doing All Stars?"

He replied: "I don’t know. Child, you know what? Listen. You know, these people, Netflix people, saying, 'Don’t be telling people when AJ and the Queen is starting.' I’m like, 'Really? Honestly? Are we still there?' We’re at a level now Michelle, where these thirsty bitches turn a fucking clickbait story into whatever the fuck we say. I'm like, 'Really? That's not even a story? I've been told to not say a goddamn thing anymore. It’s hard."

So there you have it. We can only presume that it will air at the start of next year just like previous years of All Stars – phew!

Who are the Queens rumoured for RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 5?

From Alexis Mateo to Blair St. Clair and even Yuhua Hamasaki, there are always rumours on who will be joining the Drag Race Hall of Fame and entering All Stars. This season, there's talk we'll see Season 9 finalist Shea Couleé and Season 10 finalist Asia O'Hara in the mix. Plastique Tiara, who starred in the most recent series, Season 11, is also being mentioned. Other Queens tipped to compete are Sonique, Jujubee, Jaymes Mansfield, Ongina, Scarlett Envy, Darienne Lake, Kameron Michaels and Jiggly Caliente, after they freed up their schedules for June, which is when All Stars begins filming.

And there are some Queens that Drag Race fans think are pretty much a sure thing.

Miz Cracker

Rumour has it that Miz Cracker could be heading to All Stars after she cancelled her New Zealand and Australia tour dates, which were booked for May. Miz Cracker – who was the tenth queen to be eliminated from the competition in Season 10 – claimed that an "unavoidable" schedule conflict led to her moving the tour to November 2019 and with filming reportedly due to kick off next month, people think Cracker's tour cancellation is a major clue that she could be heading back to the workroom.

Mayhem Miller

Mayhem competed in the tenth season of Drag Race and was the fifth queen to be eliminated, but after delivering us one of the best memes of 2018, she's a bit of a legend. People think her popularity and memeability means she's definitely been asked to return for All Stars 5. Mayhem was also recently replaced by A'Keria C. Davenport for a gig in June – when All Stars starts filming.

Derrick Barry

Derrick Barry struggled to break away from her past as a Britney Spears impersonator when she appeared on the eighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race three years ago. But she's ready to make her mark on All Stars, after she lost her spot just before the grand finale.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Ms Barry revealed that she's just waiting on her invitation to come back.

"It's such an honour to be welcomed back and to have RuPaul say 15 of my girls who made an impact to come back," she confessed. "It's incredible to even be part of the franchise. I would never turn All Stars down, that’s for sure."

Shea Couleé

We all know and love Season 9 Queen Shea Couleé, who narrowly missed out on the crown when she was knocked out of the final lip-sync by Season 9 winner Sasha Velour.

Well, she could be coming back for All Stars 5 – and this time she's leaving a winner. Shea is pretty confident about returning and making an even bigger mark this time. During an interview with Gay Times Shea, who recently came out as non-binary, said it's not a matter of if but when. Eek!

"Yeah! It’s about timing and schedules. The one thing that makes All Stars different than the regular seasons of the show, is that it creates these international superstars," Shea said. "Because of our commitments and schedules, sometimes it doesn’t work out but we’ve definitely talked about it. When it’s right, I definitely will make my return. We just have to find out when that time will be."
