Stranger Things writers confirm Robin will be back in season 4

Maya Hawke played Robin Buckley in Stranger Things 3 and quickly became a fan favourite. Now, a tweet from the Stranger Things writers room all but confirms that Robin will be back for Stranger Things 4.
Stranger Things fans, strap in. We've got a long wait ahead of us before the season 4 premiere of the hit Netflix show. Stranger Things could be eying a 2021 release, which means that Hopper will need to tough it out in the Upside Down for the next year, at least. While Hopper's fate is currently unknown, viewers just got the strongest hint that a fan favourite will more than likely return for another outing (and no, we're not talking about Alexei – he's dead af).
Maya Hawke joined Stranger Things as Robin in season 3 and you'll be pleased to know that she will almost certainly return to play the iconic character in season 4 as well.
As reported by Bloody Disgusting, the Stranger Things Writers Twitter account had a tweet and delete moment that heavily hinted at Robin's return.
During a Twitter Q&A, a fan asked what their favourite Robin Buckley line was. Instead of tweeting some spicy comeback from season 3, the account tweeted that it's "a season 4 line so you're going to have to wait to get that answer."
A SEASON 4 LINE, EH?! Interesting. Very very interesting.
Of course, it didn't take long for that response to be deleted but it was far too late.
The last time we saw Robin, she and Steve were looking to secure jobs at the local video rental store. With Robin likely returning for season 4, we can probably deduce that she and Steve are working together again, although they might have retired their Scoops Ahoy uniforms.
Speaking to Variety about Robin all the way back in July, Maya expressed her gratitude at being able to play a new character on the hugely popular Netflix show.
“I loved Robin, and I gave her everything I had, and I tried to make her as human and multidimensional as I could, and I wanted people to love her.”
“But honestly when you bring a new character onto a TV show that is already so beloved, it’s very rare that it’s received that well… and I’m so grateful that people fell in love with Robin the way that I did.”
