Well, that's one way to get on a Netflix show.

If you're anything like us, you definitely emerged from your Stranger Things binge-induced haze with some MAJOR thoughts on Billy.

Despite being a total smoke show, Billy is toxic masculinity personified and has almost no redeemable qualities. Thankfully, the actor who plays him, Dacre Montgomery, seems incredibly sweet and nothing like his character at all.

If you thought that Dacre landed the role of Billy with a boring old audition tape, you couldn't be more wrong.

The internet is obsessed with the roller coaster ride that is Dacre Montgomery's Stranger Things 2 audition and you'll understand why when you see it.

The four and a half minute video provided to GQ highlights Dacre's intensity as an actor and gives away a little-known secret of Hollywood audition tapes: you can do them pantsless.

Dacre told on himself and revealed that he was wearing a nude coloured g-string while filming his audition tape and we have so many questions.

Unfortunately, Dacre's assets are juuuust out of shot, but can you IMAGINE?

Dacre told GQ that he was super excited to audition for Stranger Things and really wanted to make an impression.

The idea to dance and wear a "nude coloured g-string" came from the fact that the character of Billy is so unpredictable. The young Australian actor had to ask himself, "what WOULDN'T Dacre do?" Fair. Enough.

Aaaaand in case you were wondering what the Duffer brothers and Netflix thought of the tape...

"They were kind of like, 'Hey man. So we saw your tape, and, you know, it caused a bit of a stir at Netflix.' Apparently it was played in the big board meeting."

The g-string and iconic dancing is such a Billy move, we can't even handle it. Way to get inside the character's head. And look, it all paid off in the end! We have the handsome maladjusted antagonist of our dreams.
