Dad dancing for days.

Stranger Things 2 might have dropped last year but some scenes from show have stayed with us like they happened yesterday. Who can forget the father & son bonding between Steve and Dustin, or Mike and Eleven's emotional reunion in the final episode? Honestly we're crying in the club just thinking about it.

But if there's one moment that's lingered in our minds the most, it has to be THAT dance scene with Police Chief Hooper and Eleven.

If you cast your minds back, in the third episode of ST2, "The Pollywog", Hopper's puts on his best dad dancing moves when he puts on a record for Eleven while they're tidying up the cabin. It inspired a million edits with people inserting different tracks in the background for Hooper to dance to. Truly, a meme for the ages (watch above).

Well, that scene almost didn't happen as it was completely improvised by David Harbour. In an interview with Vulture, he reveals how it went down.

"I didn’t realise the me dancing thing would have as much of an impact as it did on the internet", he jokes.

"As we were shooting it, I said to Shawn [Levy - Stranger Things executive producer] ‘I think I’ve got to dance around a little bit’. He was like ‘I don’t know about that’.

“We did it, it was kinda funny and I was like that will probably end up on the cutting room floor. Then I think Shawn saw it and really liked it so he put it in there."

"It’s a fun moment and I do like these moments where we get to expand this guy because one of the things I like is that he’s this dark guy, especially in the first season. So these moments that we get to expand him and see this person his was before when he was a father to a daughter that died, to see that man come to life again is very gratifying."

David Harbour Wasn’t Asked to Dance in Stranger Things 2, But He Did Anyway

Well damn.

That GOD they kept it in. Let's hope we get more dad dancing from David Harbour in season three.
