Remember how you can call Murray's phone number for a hidden message about Chief Hopper? It looks like David Harbour is using Instagram to low-key confirm that theory.

If you're still scouring the internet for answers about Chief Jim Hopper's death on Stranger Things 3 (or... fake death depending on where you're at with your conspiracy theories), you need to read this absolutely wild theory about David Harbour's Instagram account.

As you know, Harbour plays beloved Hawkins Chief of Police, King of Dads and number one Joyce Byers stan, Jim Hopper. Following the release of the new season, fans began to notice that something was going on with his IG profile picture.

On the day of the season 3 release, Harbour had a number '6' as his picture. The following day, it changed to a '1' and then the day after that changed to an '8'. Currently, his profile picture is back at number '6'.

Now, you're probably wondering, what the hell does this have to do with anything? But, if you cast your minds back to season 3, episode 6 ('Chapter Six: E Pluribus Unum') you might recall that those four digits are the first four digits of Murray Bauman's phone number.

Many of the eagle-eyed Stranger Things conspiracy theorists amongst us also discovered that you can call Murray's phone number (yep, it's real!) and you will hear a hidden voicemail message from Murray to Joyce.

The message is very vague and, to be honest, it could be about anything. Here's what it says: "If this is Joyce, Joyce, thank you for calling, I have been trying to reach you. I have an update. It's about, well, it's probably best if we speak in person. It's not good or bad, but it's something."

But fans have speculated that Murray, who now has a deeper understanding of what the Russians are doing thanks to our dearly beloved Cherry Slurpee bb Alexei (may he rest in peace), might have some information about Hopper's whereabouts.

Now, paired with Harbour's low-key hints using the same number on Instagram, it's almost as good as confirmed that Murray's main objective in season 4 will be finding Joyce and helping to bring Hopper back from wherever he his, right? It's just a matter of finding out where he is. Soviet prison? The Upside Down?

Even more interesting is this theory that uses Murray's phone number as a GPS coordinate. Turns out, if you invert the numbers in pairs and use it as a longitudinal coordinate with Murray's number as the latitude, you'll end up in Russia. Kamchatka, to be exact... Where the American prisoner is being held.

Is Harbour hinting that Hopper is trying to contact Murray? Like how Will used the lights to contact Joyce in season 1? Or does he really just want us to call that damn number?
