This Magazine Called Millie Bobby Brown One Of The "Sexiest TV Stars" And Honestly WTF?!

"Seeing Millie Bobby Brown classified as sexy in an article is disgusting."
There's been a huge conversation about the sexualisation of child actors on the internet recently, with the kids from Stranger Things at the forefront of the conversation. Last week, Finn Wolfhard was the subject of a pretty inappropriate comment from model Ali Michael and Millie Bobby Brown has found herself in few similar situations despite her young age.
Spanish radio company, PlayFM, recently brought up the August 2017 cover of W Magazine after it started re-circulating on Twitter amongst angry fans and called them out over their inclusion of Millie Bobby Brown in a feature about the "Hottest TV Stars."
On the cover, there's a list on the left hand side titled "Why TV Is Sexier Than Ever". In the list are actors such as Nicole Kidman, Alexander Skarsgård, James Franco, Riz Ahmed, Claire Foy, Brit Marling, Milo Ventimiglia, Rupert Friend and Keri Russell.
Also included on that list is... 13-year-old Millie Bobby Brown.
Why on earth is a 13 year old girl included in this list?! Why? In what way is she meant to be making TV "sexier"? And how on EARTH did anyone think it was an appropriate thing to do?
Babe also points out that Millie is included in one of the magazine's online galleries titled "11 Actors Who Prove TV Has Never Been Hotter." If we're talking about "hot" in the sense that her career is en fuego and she's one of the most sought after actors out there then yes, sure, why not - Millie IS a hot ticket right now. But to include her in a list with grown adults who are clearly there because of their sex appeal is wrong on so many levels.
Thankfully, the internet understands this is a problem and despite the huge delay (the cover was revealed in June 2017) they're now calling out the publication.
Poner a Millie Bobby Brown en una lista de las mujeres más sexys es legitimar la pederastia. ES UNA NIÑA. NO ES SEXY. TIENE 13 AÑOS. BASTA.

Translation: "Putting Millie Bobby Brown on a list of the sexiest women is legitimizing pedophilia. SHE'S A GIRL. IT IS NOT SEXY. SHE IS 13. ENOUGH."
NOTHING about millie bobby brown is remotely suggestive, let alone sexy. do not sexualise a thirteen year old girl

Seeing Millie Bobby Brown classified as sexy in an article is disgusting. She is a CHILD. A successful up and coming actress. NOT SEXY.

She is 13. I repeat. 13. She is not a sexy woman, is a kid. Shame on all those publications sexualizing her #milliebobbybrown pic.twitter.com/JaRXVehdT7

Translation: Can someone explain why Millie Bobby Brown, a 13-year-old girl, is on the list of "Sexiest people on television"?
Hey @wmag Millie Bobby Brown is 13, why are you describing her as sexy? Please don't do that pic.twitter.com/NzWqyM8TGw

Even if the W Magazine feature wasn't intended to sexualise Millie in that way, it unfortunately did. We should ALL think twice before brushing any child actor with words that could have those kind of connotations. It has to stop.
