The real Gypsy Rose Blanchard has shared a photo of her fiancé, Ken. The two were engaged earlier this year after more than a year as pen pals.
The Act on Hulu introduced many viewers to the tragic story of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, a young woman involved in the murder of her mother Dee Dee Blanchard. Many believe Dee Dee had Munchausen syndrome by proxy and Gypsy Rose was the victim of serious medical abuse, which involved her receiving procedures and treatments for conditions she didn't actually have.
Now, Gypsy Rose has shared a new photo of her fiancé, who she recently became engaged to while serving out her prison sentence. Gypsy's family confirmed the circumstances of her engagement back in April, telling People: "The couple has known each other for a year and a half and started dating after meeting as pen pals while Blanchard was behind bars."
Now, a new photograph of Gypsy with her family and fiancé has been revealed. In the photo, Gypsy's father is in blue and her fiancé is the one wearing black behind her.
According to E News, Gypsy's fiancé is named Ken and the family first met him back in March of this year. The couple reportedly became friendly after exchanging emails, which then led to him visiting her in prison.
In 2016, Gypsy was sentenced to 10 years in prison for second degree murder. Her boyfriend at the time, Nick Godejohn, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for his own part in the murder.
Gypsy Rose, who is 28 now, will be eligible for parole in 2024, according to Rolling Stone. However, Gypsy Rose asked her supporters for "a favour" earlier this year, which involved writing letters on her behalf to support her early release.
Gypsy's story has also moved many to petition for her early release.
