Ok, question: who is Bonnie and why does she want to kill Alyssa?

Two years since The End Of The F****ing World hit our screens on Channel 4, the trailer for the long-awaited season 2 has just dropped and I'm already shaking.

Starring Jessica Barden, the trailer picks up two years after the events of the first season and focuses on Alyssa who is being watched and targeted by a mysterious new character called Bonnie, played by Naomi Ackie.

Bonnie has been described as an outsider with a troubled past and a mysterious connection to Alyssa. But who is she? What the does she want? Why is she sending bullets with her name carved in to her?

And uhhh, where the hell is Alex Lawther's James?

Of course, the trailer, much like the promotional poster ft. a big ol' urn on the table in a diner, leaves fans wondering about James' fate.

At the end of the first season, James manages to run from the police on the beach but an ominous gunshot is heard before the screen turns blank. In the trailer, there's a scene of James lying on the beach with a gunshot wound as Alyssa leans over him. But is it real? Is that the immediate aftermath of what happened? Or is it just a dream? What is happening!?

What happened to James will no doubt be one of the big season 2 plot points but the trailer has given us absolutely zero clues about where the bloody hell he actually is.
