Yaaasss!

TEOTFW was originally released in the UK on Channel 4 in 2017 and the first season was then snapped up by Netflix earlier this year. The show built a huge fandom online who were desperate to see what happens next to James and Alyssa, who spend most of season one on the run from their parents and the police.

Previously Alex Lawther, who plays the role of James, said he would be 'excited' by the possibility of a second season. "It was based on a comic book series by Charles Forsman and the comic ends where our episode ends", he said. "If there was a series two, it would give Charlie Covell - who wrote and adapted it - a chance to explore something completely from her imagination, which I would be very excited about because I think she's brilliant. So we'll see, basically."

Screaming.

Jessica Barden, who plays Alyssa, shared the tweet on her Instagram with the caption 'Please break Instagram 💋'
