Umbrella Academy’s Robert Sheehan jokes his pubes were CGI’d out of season 1

Robert Sheehan also compared his pubic hair to "Iguazu Falls".

Dear readers, it gives me great pleasure to report to you today on Robert Sheehan's pubes.

As you might be aware, Netflix has announced that The Umbrella Academy will return for season two on July 31.

Announcing the news via video of the cast dancing around at home in quarantine to Tiffany's 'I Think We're Alone Now', Netflix confirmed that the new season will be released on Friday 31st July, meaning our quarantine TV schedule is looking pretty full until Summer.

But never mind release dates, let's get back to those pubes.

In anticipation of the teaser, Robert Sheehan, who plays Klaus Hargreeves, was sunbathing in a park and jumped on a video call with his co-star Tom Hopper (May 19) who plays Robert's brother, Luther Hargreeves.

At some point in the conversation, the chat moves on to Robert's surplus body hair. It begins with Robert joking to Tom about his lack of personal grooming. "If you could see below my shoulders you would see an incredibly revealing mankini to the point where there has been a lack of grooming going on for the past six months. So now the pubic falls... it's almost like an Iguazu Falls out either side."

Tom then jokes back: "In season one of the show, didn’t they have to CGI some of your pubes out?"

Robert started to laugh, as he recalled: "Yeah, it’s a nice little Easter Egg now for anyone who is looking for a career in CGI." We certainly heard of worse jobs tbh.

Robert goes on to explain that the leather trousers he wears in season one started to loosen up and stretch during filming, acknowledging this might have lead to the trousers falling down a little more than the wardrobe department had planned.

He said: "That’s so mad, because those leather pants from the first series, you know how leather it ages and it sort of loosens. They were barely on."

The pube chat then ends on this gem, where Robert compares his facial hair to his pubic hair, noting the close resemblance. "The real pubes are on his face, to be honest with you there’s not a lot of difference with the consistency of hair around his mouth to the consistency of hair around the old treasures."

The old treasures. Wow.

Plot details about The Umbrella Academy season 2 have been kept well under wraps but thanks to the tag line of the new season, we know for sure that time travel will once again be heavily involved. And, who knows, maybe we'll get to see more of Robert Sheehan's pubes.
