Nothing good, I can assure you.
Today in bizarre art news, a man punched a hole in a $10 million Monet painting and didn’t get away with it.
A 49-year-old man named Andrew Shannon was visiting the National Gallery of Ireland. He'd realised that he had had enough of Monet’s impressionism so he decided to do an impression of a man with no other option than to punch a Monet painting.
Shannon received 5 years in prison and a 15-month art gallery ban for the offense. If anyone has any information about what would possess a man to destroy a priceless piece of art, please get in touch and let us know so we can avoid doing that thing forever.
