Someone Needs To Tell Mariah Carey And Avril Lavigne To Stop Talking About Christmas

What the heck, it's APRIL.
While it still feels as though Christmas was like, a week ago, we're tragically coming to terms with the passage of time and accepting that we're already over a week into April. But we're NOT ready to talk about NEXT CHRISTMAS yet. Come one, who needs that much stress in their life?
Which is why this week, we're extending an open "omg pls chill" to both Mariah Carey and Avril Lavigne.
Mariah, who only seems to exist for Christmas these days, is currently developing her own Christmas movie with New Line, who have reportedly just bought the rights for it from RatPac Entertainment. The movie will apparently be a musical, and Mariah will play an important role - because of course.
Our prediction is that she will be some singing musical Christmas fairy that has to save Santa with the power of "All I Want For Christmas Is You" (if this is really the plot, please nobody sue us. Also, what the hell were you thinking).
Meanwhile Avril, who is making a return to the music world following a hiatus while she battled with Lyme disease, has revealed that she is already working on new music - and yep, it's a Christmas album.
"I've always wanted to make a Christmas album, but I've never had the time," she recently told Billboard. "But now it's like, 'You know what, just do it!' Because that's something I really want to do, so that's going to be next for me."
While we're happy Avril is feeling better and we're excited to hear new stuff and Christmas is totally great, we need to reiterate that IT'S APRIL. Avril honey, you haven't been gone THAT long.
Maybe we're just projecting our fears over how quickly 2015 seems to be passing us by. Maybe we should just chill and let Avril and Mariah have their fun. Maybe we're literally Ebenezer Scrooge in disguise. But we hope that for at least a minute, you will join us in just one small freak-out about where the year has gone.
And MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
