For those not in the know, March 31 is Transgender Day Of Visibility - a day in which trans, intersex and non-binary people took over social media in celebration of their identities, by sharing stories, posting supportive resources, and taking lots and lots of selfies.

In light of this, we decided to share some of YouTube's best content creators from the trans community. Here are five creators that we love who are using their platforms to educate, entertain, and above all, inspire:

1) Kat Blaque (TransDIYer)

Artist and self-described "opinion-vlogger" Kat is a trans woman using her platform to educate on all social justice issues, particularly pertaining to race and gender. Check out her very patient breakdown on the importance of pronouns.

2) Benton Sorensen

Canadian FTM YouTuber Benton has been documenting his transition for a really long time, and is also an accomplished vlogger and short filmmaker. He isn't afraid to do some of the more "typical" videos: including reacting to his early ones, which in this case, show the mind-blowing journey he has made.

3) Gigi Gorgeous

Having started on YouTube almost seven years ago as "Gregory Gorgeous", Gigi's transformation into herself is well-documented. Not to mention her insane channel growth - the beauty guru has almost 2.2 million subscribers.

4) Alex Bertie

British FTM creator Bertie is another YouTuber using his platform to educate and end the stigma surrounding trans people; and he isn't afraid to do it with a dry sense of humour. Everyone can get a laugh out of his "Transman Problems":

5) Julie Vu (PRINCESSJOULES)

Canadian MTF model Julie has been transitioning for the past three years, and like most YouTubers, has documented her journey as inspiration for others. She also isn't afraid to discuss the full ins and outs that come from transitioning, as can be seen in her breakdown below of the difference between pre-op and post-op sex.
