Zedd And Selena Gomez's New Music Video Might Just Have Proven Zeddlena Is Real

"I Want You To Know" isn't very coupley, but the reason behind its existence just might be.
Everybody is up in arms about whether or not "Zeddlena" (nominating that for Worst Ship Name Ever) is a real thing. Selena Gomez and new pal Anton "Zedd" Zaslavski have been seen spending a lot of time together recently, and every time they are, they look pretty close.
Truthfully, there's definitive proof that the relationship at least has a professional element; the pair debuted a new music video for their collaborative track "I Want You to Know" last night. And while there's no kiss or big relationship-y moments from Zeddlena (ugh), the new tracks still tells us that there might be a little more going on between the two.
How do we know? The answer is... it's pretty boring.
The song is a pretty decent club anthem, and no doubt it will have a long life on the dancefloor. But as far as music goes, it doesn't really stand out from any of the masses of EDM we've heard in recent years.
And the video? Eh. We can literally sum up the full four minutes in a quick GIF:
Lots of Selena getting wild and sweaty on a flashing dancefloor, while we get brief flashes of mystery man Zedd in the background to suggest the song's about him. Again, we've seen a hundred videos set in a club; there's just not much about it that stands out.
So how does this prove the existence of Zeddlena (seriously this name sucks)? Well, the only logical answer is that they wanted to make something together for the sake of it. Working on cool collaborative projects with someone you're crushing on is always a great way to bond with them, regardless of whether the final result is even really that good. Plus, fans will lap it up regardless of how it sounds because of the "secret relationship" angle. It's a smart move, and proves that they just want to have a bit of fun together.
Zedd ft. Selena is nothing special, but Zeddlena (...) is definitely a selling point.
