Matty Healy spoke about My Chemical Romance's return and a potential MCR and The 1975 song in a recent interview.
My Chemical Romance and The 1975 fans assemble. Matty Healy has revealed that he would be down for a collaboration.
My Chemical Romance sent fans into pandemonium last month (Oct 31) when they revealed that they are back and reuniting for a show this year. The band tweeted "Like Phantoms Forever..." alongside a poster teasing that they will be performing at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles on December 20. Tickets for the gig have already sold out but since then, the beloved band have announced gigs in Australia, New Zealand and Japan. In other words, an MCR world tour could be upon us.

Naturally, everyone is excited and now The 1975 frontman Matty Healy has discussed MCR in a new interview.
During a recent radio segment, Matty was asked by a fan if he'd ever consider working with MCR on a song and he had a lot to say about it. First things first, he let slip that he's actually one of the lucky people who's managed to secure tickets to the show. Matty casually said: "Now I'm going to that show." Okay Matty. We get it. You will be seeing Gerard Way, Frank Iero, Ray Toro and Mikey Way together again on stage. We're not bitter at all.
Matty then rubbed salt in the wound by joking: "I'm not too happy about him coming back for his emo lord crown once I've announced myself as quite overtly being that. He's going to come back and try and claim it, isn't he?" He then added: "He can be emo grandad more like Gerry. Off you pop." Seriously though, Matty said: "I love My Chemical Romance. I don't think we'd ever collab... but I don't see why not!"
Okay. We need this. If you could get this collab to us in time for the reunion show, that would be awesome.
