Mae Muller also played Never Have I Ever and opened up about her dreams of collaborating with Rihanna one day.
Mae Muller has spoken to PopBuzz about her new single 'I Don't Want Your Money' and her experience touring with Little Mix.
Discussing 'I Don't Want Your Money', Mae said: "A lot of my music is full of sass and "men are trash" kind of energy, which is obviously a very important part of who I am, but with this one, I wanted to write a love song. What I'm saying is I like you better when you're just being you and not showing off and being flashy. I can get all that materialistic stuff for myself."
She then added: "All I want from you is just for you to be yourself and to give me some love and attention and we're fine."
As for the video, Mae revealed: "I literally shot it in this room. My room in my dad's house literally has the perfect colour for a green screen. I shot it on my iPhone. I was freaking out at the beginning but I had a lot of fun with it. I actually think it's one of my best videos." She also fessed that she came up with the iconic idea to use a Wii remote for the boulevard scenes.
Mae also spoke about the album she's working on. Mae said: "I want a lot of it to be brand new material that nobody's heard before." She then teased that she's been working with huge hit writers such as Caroline Ailin (Dua Lipa, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez) and Kamille (Little Mix, Mabel, Jess Glynne) alongside Jimmy Napes (Sam Smith) and many other big names.
Opening up about what it was like to support Little Mix on the LM5 tour, Mae explained: "They were honestly so lovely, so welcoming and it made me realise how hard they work. It was such an honour to be around that energy." As for a future Little Mix collab, Mae said: "That would be a dream. I think their music is great and I love everything they stand for."
Mae added that Rihanna is on her dream collaboration list as well. She stated: "Every single person would obviously want to collaborate with this person but Rihanna is my absolute idol and I adore her so much on anything. It can be makeup, it can be music. I don't care. Send me some lingerie."
Mae then took part in a hilarious game of Never Have I Ever and revealed all about terrible exes, fangirling Jorja Smith and loads more. Find out how that went down in our interview by hitting play on the video above or head over to the PopBuzz YouTube channel.
