On Monday night (Mar 23), UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered for tougher restrictions on the movement of the public because of coronavirus, which has claimed the lives of over 300 people in the UK alone. Boris banned gatherings of more than two people after sun-seeking Brits spilled onto the beach, into markets and in parks over the weekend, ignoring social distancing guidelines.
The new rules, which are being put in place for three weeks, mean that people are now only allowed outside to buy food or medication, travel to work if you're an essential worker, or for solo exercise once a day. All non-essential shops are now shut and breaking the rules could see you get a £30 fine on the spot.

Speaking to the British public, Boris said: "You should not be meeting friends. If your friends ask you to meet, you should say no. You should not be meeting family members who do not live in your home. You should not be going shopping except for essentials like food and medicine – and you should do this as little as you can. If you don’t follow the rules, the police will have the powers to enforce them, including through fines and dispersing gatherings."
Whilst we all understand the severity of the situation and the importance of staying at home to stop the spread of the virus, the internet did the only thing it knew it could do to cope with the latest lockdown measures – make memes.
