Jeffree Star and NikkieTutorials nominated for YouTuber of the Year at Shorty Awards

The Shorty Awards is an annual awards ceremony which was set up to celebrate the biggest names in social media. Created in 2011, the Shortys honour everyone from high profile actors and musicians to up-and-coming influencers and TikTok stars. This year alone, celebrities such as Billie Eilish, Zendaya, Lizzo and Lil Nas X have all been nominated for huge awards.
One of the most popular categories at the Shortys is the YouTuber of the Year category and this year, it's very competitive.
How do you vote in the Shorty Awards?
Yesterday (Jan 21), the Shorty Awards revealed their nominees for the 2020 YouTuber of the Year and they feature some big names. NikkieTutorials has been nominated following her powerful 'I'm Coming Out' video and working with stars including Lady Gaga. Jeffree Star is also nominated after Shane Dawson's popular docu-series The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star.
Alongside Nikkie and Jeffree, Andymation, ContraPoints, Eugenia Cooney, Jarvis Johnson, Kayla Nicole, Mr. Beast, Psych IRL, Roxxsaurus, Vareena Sayed and Wengie are also nominated. To vote for your favourite YouTuber all you have to do is visit the link above and you can vote once a day until the results are revealed and live-streamed on YouTube on May 3.
Reacting to the news, Nikkie tweeted: "OMG....... wait WOW. thank you so much for the nomination". Meanwhile, Jeffree wrote: "Wow this is humbling and I really appreciate the nomination! PS. I’m voting for @MrBeastYT!!!"

Last year, Shane Dawson won YouTuber of the Year against the likes of James Charles, Tana Mongeau and David Dobrik.
