Selena unveiled a tattoo on her upper thigh of hands in prayer accompanied by rosary beads. Selena was raised Catholic and has shared her faith journey with fans in the past.

Selena Gomez stunned at the American Music Awards this past weekend (24 November), walking the red carpet in a green Versace dress and performing her two new singles, 'Lose You to Love Me' and 'Look At Her Now'. It was the singer's first live television performance in two years and fans were thrilled to see her back.

Selena is taking centre stage at events like the AMAs once more, but she has plenty going on behind the scenes too. Selena recently shared a photo of her new upper thigh tattoo inked by Bang Bang Tattoo. Bang Bang is known for their celebrity clientele, including A-listers like Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber.

The tattoo is of a hand in prayer accompanied by rosary beads. It appears to be on her upper left thigh and, in the photo, Sel can be seen lifting up a white robe to reveal the new ink.

In the caption, Selena promised "more to come" and showed off the rest of her AMAs day.

In addition to being a beautiful piece of art, the new tattoo obviously has religious themes. Selena was raised Catholic and has been known to post about her own religious experience with God and religion.

Earlier this year, following the release of 'Lose You to Love Me', Selena posted a note describing how grateful she was to Jesus.

She wrote: "He always surprises me and I re-fall in love with Him every single time."

Selena has other tattoos besides her new prayer hands ink. In 2017, the actress got a semicolon tattoo with several 13 Reasons Why cast members. She also has a matching arrow tattoo with close friend Julia Michaels and a music note on her wrist, among others.
