Selena Gomez and David Henrie have already spoken at length about a Wizards of Waverly Place reboot.

It's official. David Henrie has confirmed that he and Selena Gomez are in talks to make a Wizards of Waverly Place reboot.

As soon as Wizards of Waverly Place ended in 2012, fans have been desperate to see the Disney series come back. Not only was it one of the most popular Disney shows of all time (the Russo siblings really DID THAT) but it also launched the careers of Selena Gomez, David Henrie and Jake T. Austin (name a more iconic trio, I'll wait).

Since the last season aired, all of the cast have each gone on to find huge success outside of the sitcom, making the possibility of a reunion seem unlikely. However, David has now confirmed that he and Selena have spoken at length about a potential Wizards reboot.

Is a Wizards of Waverly Place reboot coming to Disney+?

Speaking to ET about Wizards, David revealed: "Selena and I have a reboot. We sit and talk about it all the time." He went on to add: "It's not formal but Selena and I sit and we talk about what the reboot would be and we have a whole take. We have a whole thing."

In other words, Disney aren't involved just yet but Selena and David have come up with their own concept for a Wizards reboot and it sounds like it would be perfect.

David then explained the concept: "What made the Russos special is that we were a family. We want to start the show a few years later, start them out divided: Alex is a fashionista off killing it in some other part of the realm, Justin's like the principal who has a family now, Maz has the sub shop but it's run down. Start us all completely discombobulated and then through the course of the series, bring us all together."

David said that he and Selena want: "To start [the Russos] off at the worst place ever, so that way throughout the series, we give them a nice beautiful arc of reuniting."

David then retweeted a video clip of the interview writing: "Just out of curiosity, who would want a Wizards reunion?" and Maria Canals-Barrera (Theresa) replied "Uhhh...ME." and head writer Peter Murrieta tweeted: "I'd do it!"

And if that doesn't seem official enough, David recently visited Disney+ headquarters for a secret meeting. Not to mention, Jake also revealed that he would be interested in working on a reboot.

Essentially, it looks like a Wizards reboot could actually be in the works. All we need is for Disney+ to confirm it. Disney+, what's good?
