UPDATE (June 6): Troye Sivan has finally released the music video for 'Bloom'.
In the video, directed by Bardia Zeinali, Troye is the very definition of serving looks. It's a 4 minute visual feast of colour and couture as Troye pouts and twirls around in incredibly beautiful and ever more decadent outfits. Watch the video below:

Troye Sivan has released a lyric video for 'Bloom' (May 3), the second single from his as-yet-untitled second album, the follow up to 2015's Blue Neighbourhood.
Produced by Oscar Holter, "Bloom" is a pulsating pop bop with a real ear worm chorus. The hypnotic video finds a virtual reality Troye, dressed in a vest and jeans, floating through a greenhouse which shifts in colour. Watch the video below:

So what's meaning behind 'Bloom'? Troye has claimed "it's about flowers" on his Twitter but it doesn't take a genius to realise that it's about something a little saucier.
In fact, in a now deleted tweet, Troye hinted at the real meaning behind the song "#BopsBoutBottoming".

Oh my, my, my!
'Take a trip into my garden', 'put gas into the motor' and 'we'll ride the rollercoaster' are all pretty obvious metaphors for sexy time. In fact, the use of flowers as a poetic device to discuss sex and, more specifically, anal sex has a long history. The music videos expands of this further with Robert Mapplethorpe-esque stills of flowers cut between shots of Troye dancing around in floral outfits.
Troye is continuing a grand tradition with his lyrics for 'Bloom' and we are 100% here for it. In fact, we're going to need more songs about bottoming, stat. It's #20GayTeen after all.
