Clay Might Be Getting A New Love Interest In '13 Reasons Why' Season Two

WHAT ABOUT HANNAH? FFS!
The first season of 13 Reasons Why left us shook for a variety of reasons, but Clay Jensen and Hannah Baker's storyline was the one that truly broke us.
Throughout the first season, we watch Clay and Hannah try and fail to move past awkwardness and self-doubt to begin a relationship. After Hannah's death, Clay extends as olive branch to an old friend, Skye, who he stopped hanging out with a few years prior and in the very last scene of the show they drive off into the sunset together (with Tony and his boyfriend).
Hannah will feature in season two via flashbacks, like in the first season, and so fans were hoping to see more of Hannah and Clay together. However, in an interview with Seventeen, Dylan Minnette, who plays Clay, basically pissed all over our parade.

"We potentially could see more flashbacks with Clay and Hannah", Dylan said. "But what I will say is that I think we learn pretty much almost everything we needed to know about what Clay and Hannah’s relationship was [in season one]. I think that’s pretty clear."
Pop the balloons and put the confetti away, guys, the Clannah ship isn't coming into port for season two.
Dylan was quick to assure fans that Clay isn't 'over' Hannah. There's just isn't that much story between them both left to tell.
"I think that the impact of Hannah and the tapes on Clay’s life will never ever go away no matter how hard he tries. No matter what, it’s going to take him a while to recover. You can see that it’s not easy for Clay to let anything go. And that's expected. I don’t think anyone expects Clay to just kind of think of Hannah and be like, 'No, it was nothing.'"
So, what about Skye? While there relationship was strictly platonic in the first season, fans are wondering whether a new romance might be on the cards for Clay and Skye.
"I can’t say too much, but Skye is still around and in the picture and there’s a chance that her and Clay could be friends or more," Clay teased. "That’s something you’ll learn pretty quickly when the season starts. I don’t want to spoil that for you, but she’s around."
Ooooh shit. Prepare to have your heart broken all over again, guys. Clay's moving on with his left and we're not ready.
