Sarah Paulson has hinted that she will have a "central role" in AHS season 10.

American Horror Story fans, we've got more good news! Sarah Paulson is officially coming back for American Horror Story season 10.

Last season, Sarah decided to step away from 1984, due to a heavy schedule with her other projects and work on Ryan Murphy's Netflix series Ratched. As reported by Deadline, Sarah has now confirmed that she will be returning to the series – and it sounds like she's going to have a central role.

While nothing has been revealed about the theme or her character in season 10, fans will be hyped to see the OG cast member back in business on the show, and who knows? Maybe her return could entice Evan Peters back for another season too.

In a previous interview with TV Guide, Sarah spoke about missing out on AHS season 9 and wanting to return to the series ahead of the tenth anniversary season: "It's hard to not be a part of it. I would love to [return for Season 10]. I need to be a part of it again."

And now she is... Officially!

Speaking to Deadline, Sarah said: “I did ask Ryan if the question was asked to me, could I say that I was coming back, and he said ‘yes’ you could say. So, yes I will be back on American Horror Story."

When asked whether she'll be returning as a series regular, Sarah responded: "I should hope so." And as for her involvement in the next three seasons that just been renewed by FX? “God willing.”

Speaking to TV Guide previously, Sarah explained that the possibility of Evan Peters returning to the show would be enough to persuade her to come back too. "I would like to do something with Evan [Peters]," Sarah told the publication. "I miss Evan and I miss acting with Evan. So I'd love to have that experience again. If he'll come back, I'm back."

OG cast member Evan also took a break from the show in season 9. There's currently no word on whether or not Evan will return for the tenth anniversary season but Ryan Murphy has confirmed that he's spoken to Evan about it, and it sounds promising.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ryan said that he had spoken to Evan about "him coming back to the show some year".

Judging by what we already know about season 10 (the season will "reunite fan favourites"), it sounds like it's going to be an absolute showstopper that fans will love.
