Elite season 2 release date revealed with full-length trailer starring new cast

When does Elite season 2 come out on Netflix? Everything you need to know.
Elite season 2 is almost here and Netflix have finally announced the release date. It's dropping September 6th.
Taking to Twitter (Aug 6), Netflix wrote: "#Elite Season 2 premieres September 6 — hope this holds you over until then…" via their See What's Next account. If that weren't enough, they also accompanied the tweet with the first official teaser trailer for Elite season 2 starring the new cast. With just one month to go until it comes out, we cannot wait to see what's next for our favourite students from the Spanish private school Las Encinas... (Ander and Omar hive, our time is now).
What can we expect in season 2 though and what does the trailer reveal about the new series?
The first teaser trailer doesn't give too much away. It's a moody red affair soundtracked by 'Assassin' by AU/RA (ominous!!!). That being said, we do get glimpses of each of the main cast members alongside some new faces. Samuel (Itzan Escamilla) appears first, then Guzmán (Miguel Bernardeau) and Lu (Danna Paola). Polo (Álvaro Rico) and Carla (Ester Expósito) make out but their unwilling partner in crime Christian (Miguel Herrán) is also with them.
Queen Nadia (Mina El Hammani) is back of course. We also see our favourite on screen couple Ander (Arón Piper) and Omar (Omar Shana) getting intimate. Wrongly convicted king Nano (Jaime Lorente) is there too along with the newbies. We know nothing about their characters as it stands but Rebeca (Claudia Salas), Valerio (Jorge López) and Cayetana (Georgina Amorós) all look ready to cause some drama.

It's currently unclear exactly what will happen in season 2 but it will likely focus on the aftermath of Marina's murder. There will hopefully be justice for Nano who has been charged with it even though he had nothing to do with it. We'll also see if Carla and Christian keep secret the fact that Polo murdered Marina or if they will turn him into the police.
Less than one month to go. The countdown is on.
