With The Haunting of Bly Manor now out on Netflix, viewers are already desperate to find out if the series will have a sequel.
Fans of The Haunting franchise will already know that The Haunting of Bly Manor is part of an anthology series. Season 1 of The Haunting was called The Haunting of Hill House and it told a completely separate story to Bly Manor. In other words, it looks like we won't be getting The Haunting of Bly Manor season 2 but a third season of The Haunting seems probable.

With that in mind, here's everything you need to know about The Haunting season 3 and what you can expect from it.
When does The Haunting season 3 come out?

As it stands, Netflix haven't renewed The Haunting for a third season just yet, so there's no release date at the moment. That doesn't mean that we won't be getting The Haunting season 3 though. Netflix often tend to wait a couple of months before renewing shows so, expect to hear about The Haunting season 3 in the coming weeks.
Given that The Haunting of Hill House came out in October 2018 and The Haunting of Bly Manor came out in October 2020, it seems likely that The Haunting season 3 will drop in October 2022. However, it's possible that Netflix are keen to bring it out quicker now that the show is more established so a 2021 release date is possible.
What will The Haunting season 3 be about?
As we've already mentioned, The Haunting season 3 will not be a continuation of Bly Manor so we can all look forward to a whole new ghost story being told. Seeing as both The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor were loosely based on books, we imagine that The Haunting season 3 will follow suit.
Could we get a series adaptation of Stephen King's The Shining? Will The Haunting take on Scott Thomas' Kill Creek? Is Sarah Water's The Little Stranger going to inspire the next season? The possibilities are endless.
Who will be in The Haunting season 3 cast?
Even though the season featured brand new characters, The Haunting of Bly Manor saw most of The Haunting of Hill House cast return to the show. In other words, we reckon that fan favourites Victoria Pedretti, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Kate Siegel, Henry Thomas and Carla Gugino will all return.
We also hope that season 2 newcomers T'Nia Miller, Amelia Eve, Rahul Koli and Tahirah Sharif will be back. The child stars in Hill House and Bly Manor were completely different so it's unclear if Benjamin Evan Ainsworth (Miles) and Amelie Bea Smith (Flora) will come back.
