Disney CEO reveals Tom Holland's hilarious plea in drunk phone call to save Spider-Man

"Is there anything you can do? Just please, sir, please? Is there anything that you can do?" Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed Tom Holland's passionate appeal to keep Spider-Man in the MCU.
This past summer, Tom Holland's Spider-Man was dangerously at risk of not appearing in future films in the MCU thanks to a co-financing disagreement between Sony and Disney-owned Marvel. Luckily, the two big studios managed to work out their differences and announced a couple of weeks later that, actually, Tom Holland would be in future MCU films. Phew!
Tom Holland would later reveal that a drunken phone call with the president of Disney, Bob Iger, actually helped grease the wheels. During a recent interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Tom Holland explained how a crying phone call with the Disney boss led to renewed negotiations which, as we all know, resulted in a deal being reached.

Speaking to Us Weekly, Bob said that Tom pleaded with him to help resolve the stalemate between Sony and Marvel.
"I couldn't tell if he was drunk, but I called him because I knew that he was upset and he wanted to talk to me about the status of 'Spider-Man'," Iger explained. "The reason I called him is I knew how important it was to him and I knew how important he was to us."
"He asked to talk to me about it, to express how upset he was. And because of how much I cared about him, I called him. And he said, 'Please, please.' He [pleaded] with me. 'Is there anything you can do? Just please, sir, please? Is there anything that you can do?' I said, 'Tom, I will try.'...I immediately got on the phone afterward and started trying."
Chatting on the phone to your boss while tipsy may not be the most professional thing to do but, hey, it worked and Spider-Man is back, baby! Plus, Bob didn't seem to mind it so much.
"Tom can call me drunk every day of the week. As long as he calls me Bob!"
We're pretty sure there was no one on earth that was happier than Tom when it was announced that Spider-Man would remain in the MCU.
The actor was so pleased that he shared a clip from The Wolf of Wall Street where Leo Di Caprio's character proudly declares "I'M NOT FUCKING LEAVING."
