In The Mandalorian season 2, episode 2, Baby Yoda eats some eggs. They are not just any eggs though. The eggs that Baby Yoda eats are some of the last remaining eggs of an almost extinct alien frog species. In other words, he plays a vital part in killing off an entire species. The Mandalorian plays the scene off as a joke but fans of the show are less than impressed.

One person tweeted: "Me trying to explain to my kid that Baby Yoda eating those eggs isn’t cute, it’s genocide." Another fan added: "I swear to god if baby yoda eats another one of the nice frog lady’s eggs I’m going to burn all my BY merch."

Someone also wrote: "The complexification of Baby Yoda wouldn't be a bad thing. At all! But if we just go back to, "Awww, cute Baby Yoda!" next week... I have real concerns." Prayer for all the people who've named their kids Baby Yoda.

As it stands, Disney+ and the team behind Baby Yoda haven't responded to the backlash. We shall update you if they do.
