The Kardashians have just announced that Keeping Up With The Kardashians is officially coming to an end after 14 years and 20 seasons and, seriously, what happens now?

The iconic reality series debuted in October 2007 and launched the careers of the entire Kardashian-Jenner family, sparking 12 spin-off series and showcasing their marriages, divorces, pregnancies and addictive drama.

To our amazing fans - It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians. After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children. We’ll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we’ve met along the way. Thank you to the thousands of individuals and businesses that have been a part of this experience and, most importantly, a very special thank you to Ryan Seacrest for believing in us, E! for being our partner, and our production team at Bunim/Murray, who’ve spent countless hours documenting our lives. Our last season will air early next year in 2021. Without Keeping Up with The Kardashians, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years. This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever. With Love and Gratitude, Kim

Why is Keeping Up With The Kardashians ending?

The Kardashians haven't confirmed exactly why they've decided to end Keeping Up With The Kardashians all of a sudden, however, apparently KUWTK ratings have dipped to below 1 million in recent years. During the height of the show's popularity, it managed to get about 4 million viewers an episode.

Another possible reason is privacy. Kourtney Kardashian had previously made it clear that she was no longer happy sharing every aspect of her life. Rob Kardashian also stepped back from the show in 2017, while Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner have lesser roles than their older sisters.

Meanwhile, another reason for the show's end could be because their contract with E! is drawing to a close. In 2017, Kris Jenner confirmed that she and her daughters had signed a new $150 million five-year deal with E! on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. However, that would bring them just one year shy of the deal.

Whatever the reason for the show's end, the statement came completely out of the blue. Like, it's officially the end of an era. The internet coped with the news in the only way it could - with memes.

In the end, Kourtney won.

The MOST interesting to look at.

In conclusion, we're actually going to miss this show.

The one-liners, the drama, the peak inside their mansions... 💔
