It's official, the next musical episode of Riverdale will be a production of 'Heathers'. How very.

Everyone start practicing your vocal warm ups and get ready to channel your inner HBIC because the next Riverdale musical has just been announced and it's a good one. Kids, season 3's musical will be... Heathers: The Musical, based on the 1989 movie starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater.

“Last year, we had a blast doing Carrie. This year, we wanted to honor another iconic teen movie. Heathers: The Musical is BIG FUN, with great roles for the Riverdale kids,” said executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. “And everyone is singing…”

Everyone? Even... Cole Sprouse?! THE PARENTS?! Just like last year, the cast list has also been revealed, detailing which characters will be performing in the musical and the roles they'll be playing - and there's some surprises on there, as well as one new character we're yet to meet... 👀

Ok, so who's playing who? La Bonne Nuit's very own headliner Josie will be taking on the main role of Veronica Sawyer with Sweet Pea (!!!!!!!) joining the cast Jason "JD" Dean. Cheryl, Betty and Veronica will be playing the Heathers (with Cheryl as the Heather Chandler, of course). Archie and Reggie will play Kurt and Ram, the two jocks. Fangs, Toni and Evelyn Evernever are also part of the cast alongside newbie Peaches N' Cream (who'll be played by Bernadette Beck). Interestinggggggggggg.

The musical is also ominously sponsored by The Farm, it'll be directed by Kevin, featuring nine songs and as for Jughead? Well, he appears to be head of security. How very.

Also, interestingly enough, Cheryl's first love and best friend was called Heather too... coincidence? Could she make an appearance? Guess we'll have to wait and see... One thing's for sure though, with Heathers as the musical, there's going to be a lot of deaths.

The musical episode will air on March 20. LICK IT UP, BABY! LICK 👏 IT 👏 UP!
