These reveal SO much...

The entire world is obsessed with To All the Boys I've Loved Before at the moment. Not only is the brand new Netflix coming of age rom-com a literal breath of fresh air (it is pure af and somehow manages to feel fresh and forward thinking while also paying homage to the classics) but it also features incredible performances by rising stars Lana Condor (Lara Jean), Noah Centineo (Peter) and Israel Broussard (Josh).

However, long before TATBILB wowed viewers on screen, it was a best-selling novel by teen fiction icon Jenny Han. Jenny put out TATBILB in 2015 as the first in a series of three novels (check out P.S. I Still Love You and Always and Forever, Lara Jean now) and it quickly amassed a huge following of fans (spoilers and special book info). People fell in love with Lara Jean and her adorable love letters.

In the book and the film we learn that, ever since Lara Jean first began to develop crushes, she started writing letters to the boys that she fancied. She would never send the letters but instead use them as a way to process her spurts of infatuation and get over them. This was inspired by the fact that Jenny actually did this irl. Lara Jean writes five letters in total (Peter, Josh, Lucas, John, Kenny).

However, all hell breaks lose when Lara Jean's sister (Kitty) sends the letters (out of spite in the book, for fun in the film) and the boys actually receive them. The whole situation is equal parts painful and hilarious to watch and read as it unfolds (poor Lara Jean) but one major difference between the film and the book is that we don't get to find out exactly what Lara Jean wrote in the film.

With that in mind, we (via the help of Twitter) have gathered all of the actual letters from the book for you to enjoy here.

1. Peter Kavinsky (Part 1)

So much extra Peter info. The 'last slice of pizza' dig is killing us.

2. Kenny

Kenny sounds like a keeper tbh.

3. Lucas

Book Lucas is quite different to film Lucas but we stan both in equal measure.

4. John Ambrose McClaren

The romance! The drama! The passion! We are swooning.

5. Josh Sanderson

Okay we seriously need to see the original Josh letter but this puts SO much in perspective.

BONUS: Peter Kavinsky (Part 2)

No. We're not crying you are. We would die for Lara Jean and Peter K's love.

In short, the film is literally everything but the books are too.

Live your best life and read them all. It's what you deserve.
