My Chemical Romance fans tweet apologies to Joe Jonas after reunion is confirmed

Well well well, it looks like we all owe Joe Jonas an apology... including Frank Iero for that hilarious video response.

It was June 2019 when Joe Jonas dropped the bombshell that My Chemical Romance, who famously broke up in 2013, were rehearsing together next door to the Jonas Brothers. It was also in June 2019 when MCR fans, and even Frank Iero himself, completely shut Joe down over his claims.

Flash forward to October 31st 2019 and OH HOW THE TABLES HAVE TURNED!

It was announced yesterday that My Chemical Romance are in fact reuniting, and are set to play a one-off concert in Los Angeles on December 20th (tickets go on sale Nov 1). Fans are now issuing hilarious apologies to Joe and referencing Frank's absolutely savage video he made back in July.

In case you've been out of the loop, rumours of an MCR reunion began earlier this year when Joe revealed in an interview that he heard that the band were rehearsing next to him and his brothers in New York.

Following Joe's big sleuth, MCR's guitarist extraordinaire Frank Iero addressed the claims and poked fun at Joe in a video shared on Instagram. During a later interview on Zach Sang Show, Frank also called the Jonas Brothers a "Disney band."

"I don’t understand why you would do an interview about your band and talk about someone else’s band," Frank said. "I think they’re trying to rebrand their band as a real rock band and they’re trying to mention as many rock bands and trying to get, like, synonymous with other things."

"People aren’t gonna forget that you’re a Disney band, bro. Sorry, it’s not gonna happen.”

While Frank's reaction was a bit spicy, particularly the video where he made fun of Joe (and Joe's eyebrows?!), he did what he had to do to put those rumours to rest and save the surprise for the fans for when they themselves were ready to announce it.

Twitter is now flooded with tweets about what is, quite possibly, the biggest and most unbelievable plot twist of the year.

Sorry to this man.

We still don't know if Joe was actually right about those rehearsal rumours. Maybe he was, or maybe he just miraculously spoke it into existence. Either way, we're listening to everything he says now. EVERYTHING.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go out and stock up on my eyeliner and black nail polish. Bye.
