Shereé from The Real Housewives of Atlanta inspired the 'Who gon check me boo?' meme...

Memes glorious memes. What would we do without them? It's only the second month of 2019 and we've already seen some of the funniest memes in recent history. It's hard to believe it but this year alone, the internet has blessed us with the memes of everyone choking Sasuke, the memes of the egg versus Kylie Jenner and the memes of Shaggy from Scooby Doo as an all-powerful god-like figure.

The best memes of 2019

It's been wild. Nevertheless, the internet never sleeps and it's now blessed us with another iconic meme to add to the hall of viral fame and this one is an emoji meme. Emojis do, of course, make for the basis of perfect memes (the 'no one' crossing the road meme, the dancing man meme, the today's tea meme) and they take centre stage in the savage 'Who gon check me boo?' meme.

The 'Who gon check me boo?' meme is simple. It's inspired by an epic Real Housewives of Atlanta dispute between Sherée Whitfield and her party planner Anthony in Season 2 of the show. Things get heated and Anthony tells Sherée that someone will check her to which Sherée replies "Who gon' check me boo?". Iconic. And now the beloved phrase has found new life in a meme.
