Why did Billie Eilish unfollow everyone on Instagram?

Billie Eilish has unfollowed everyone on Instagram, leaving some fans confused over the reasoning behind it.

According to images that have been posted online, it all started when Billie reportedly shared a post to her Instagram story that read: “If I am following your abuser, DM me and I will unfollow them. I will support you.”

The post was then said to have been removed soon after being shared, but not before people took screenshots and shared them to Twitter.

Following the post, fans noted that Billie was still following people like XXXTentacion and Chris Brown, who have both been accused of abuse and have had multiple allegations made against them. Several tweets then went viral calling the issue out.

Fans then noticed that Billie had gone and unfollowed everyone on her account.

The unfollow spree, coupled with the previous post about 'unfollowing abusers', has left fans a bit confused.

Billie currently has almost 65 million followers on the platform, but has yet to address the reason behind why she unfollowed everyone.

Over the past month, Billie has been using her platform to support Black Lives Matter. In an Instagram post, she called out people who were sharing 'all lives matter' messages.

She wrote: "If I hear one more white person say 'all lives matter' one more f—ing time I'm gonna lose my f—ing mind…no one is saying your life doesn't matter…this is not about you. You are not in need. You are not in danger."
