Halsey shows off her natural hair in new Instagram post

Halsey is rocking her natural curls for her Manic era instead of wigs.

Halsey just showed fans how much her natural hair has grown on Instagram and we can't get over how beautiful she looks.

Halsey's third album Manic is finally upon us. After releasing 'Without Me' back in September 2019, the 25-year-old has now put the finishing touches on her next record and it's due out in January. Not only does the project feature Halsey's recent hit single 'Graveyard' but it also contains brand new collaborations with SUGA from BTS, Dominic Fike and Alanis Morisette.

With a new era, Halsey is embracing a new aesthetic and it's incredibly stripped back. In fact, Manic is so stripped back that Halsey is wearing fewer wigs, rocking her real hair a lot more and she's even started showing fans her natural curls again.

Taking to Instagram yesterday (Dec 12), Halsey wrote: "strawberry fields" alongside a photo of her sporting her natural locks. In the selfie, Halsey can be seen rocking a pearl necklace with a crucifix, a The Beatles t-shirt and, as opposed to one of her wigs or straightened hair, her natural black curls. Soon after, fans began praising Halsey for how stunning her real hair is.

Halsey recently told Elle Australia that she now feels comfortable with her natural hair. "I've waited for that moment my entire life and there I am, with the hair that my mother and father gave me and with [minimal] makeup on, in a way I'm proud of. To be cool with the world seeing me that way… that says a lot to me about how I've grown as a person. I feel really happy."

This isn't the first time that Halsey has shown off her curls either. Just last year, Halsey posted a photo of her natural hair on Twitter. A fan then wrote: "I thought your hair was curlier than this??" and Halsey explained that bleaching affected it: "Still trying to get everything healthy again. I was blonde a few months ago and an inexperienced colorist fried my head."

Halsey also clapped back at people accusing her of wearing a wig. She wrote: "i can’t believe I spent a whole damn year growing out my curls under those wigs for y’all to say my natural hair looks like a wig... some fucked up shit lmao."

In her Elle Australia interview, Halsey also said: "I've evolved into a new way of being Halsey, which is still equally as colourful. It's just easier on my scalp."
